Road Construction Projects

INDOT’s State Road 15 and 120 improvement project is scheduled to start March 10. Reith Riley (RR) is the contractor.

March 10. No parking available on main street. Cement barrier walls will be installed, and two-lane traffic will be on the north side of the street. This extends to the areas between the stop lights.

May 30.  Intersection work begins at Ponderosa and SR 120. The bridge remains open on Mottville Road. Ponderosa and SR 120 east will be closed.

June 24.  Northwest corner of the intersection of Mottville and SR 120 will be under construction. No travel movement closure.

July 9.  Main Street construction between the stoplights moves to the north side of the street. Two lane travel is moved to the south side of the street.

September 5.  SR 15 from the stoplight to the RR tracks is closed.

December 7. 2026 construction ends. SR 120 construction west of the stop light will start in spring of 2027.

During construction access to side streets, businesses, and residences will remain available. Except for short periods when construction activity is being done at the access point. RR will have a person contacting every owner of property in the construction zones. There will be a RR contact person to call if you have questions or concerns.  The Town Manager is also an option.

A source of current information will be on the Town’s phone app. Search for Our Town Bristol Indiana, download the app and sign in. It’s a free service and will provide you with the most recent and up to date construction information.
